I’m a native of Northern California.  Kris and I have been married for 25 years and are blessed with 4 sons… and finally a daughter (in-law). 

 

I’ve been able to serve in several different church settings, from rural Iowa to suburban Chicago… from church planting to established ministries.  I have also taught several years as an adjunct professor at Moody Bible Institute, my Alma mater.
 
I went to Moody Bible Institute, Sioux Falls Seminary and received my doctorate at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary.

 

I like big crowds and think ministry should be energetic, motivating and enjoyable… even when its hard.

 

FAVORITE MINISTRY ACTIVITY: 

Preaching the Word.  Because, over time, I have seen God transform and change lives through it.  And I’m still amazed that God would want to talk to us!

 

FAVORITE VERSES:

Joshua 1:6-7 – All about standing strong!

Romans 8:38-39 – All about why we can stand strong – His love endures.

 

FAVORITE PAST-TIMES:

Taking a long ride on the motorcycle.  My longest trip so far is 2250 miles.
I also enjoy doing odds and ends with Kris around the house.
And traveling is always fun.

 

FAVORITE FOOD:

Mexican Food – not the Taco Bell type.

 

FAVORITE BOOK (besides the Bible):

Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire by Jim Cymbala, it transformed the activity of prayer for me.
